and here's a silly joke:
a devoted wife had spent her lifetime taking care of her husband.
now he was slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she stayed by his bedside every single day.
when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.
as she sat by him, he said,
"you know what? you have been with me all through the bad times.
when I got fired, you were there to support me.
when my business failed, you were there.
when I got shot, you were by my side.
when we lost the house, you gave me support.
when my health started failing, you were still by my side...
you know what?"
"what dear?" she asks gently.
"i think you bring me bad luck."
L said this is probably what's happening with me...
of all the candidates i ever supported - no matter what election, what party, what country - most, except a teeny weeny few, l.o.s.t.
i must bring them bad luck ;' (
at a time like this, this goes out to all the kerry supporters:
hatred, ignorance and lies are hard to fight against.
crying is appropriate...
i would know, like many of my 6 million+ fellow citizens do, because we've been through it.
when we are up against these things in life, other than the feeling of frustration, depression, anxiety, exasperation, exile, distance, and at times even hatred...
do not give up, for 'a luta continua', the fight continues~
p.s. i hope tomorrow csbian will not use kerry's conceding to 大作文章，shamelessly asking the pan-blues to gracefully accept their *defeat*. (oooh how i know he will.. knowing how cheezy and all that he is...) the u.s. election is altho in many ways similar to ours, the partisan division, the lies, the *use whatever means to win the election and leave the mess for later*... but at least gwb did not employ two tiny bullets and subsequent events to his aid (but geeez, didnt bin laden's strange disquisition arrive at a perfect time...).
